This mode was initially a Limited Time Modes, however, it has changed into a core game mode in Fortnite Battle Royale. With the Squads mode, a team of up to 4 players fights in a battle of 100 players.
Building is considered to be the specific feature of Fortnite Battle Royale. However, this feature is also one of the reasons that discouraged new players from starting Fortnite. Fortnite has recently released Zero Build Mode allowing players to enjoy the gameplay and mechanics of a shooter battle royale game.

Imposters, which was inspired by a recent legendary game, Among Us is a mode for a maximum of ten players. In this mode, players will be divided into 2 groups including eight Agents maintaining The Bridge and two Imposters out to overtake it.
