At the beginning of Fortnite Battle Royale, the game did not have a storyline for itself, but in time, when Season 3 came, lore has been introduced for the first time. Since then, the storyline has continued through the coming of Seasons. Besides lore, there have been many factions have been brought into the game, with characters and mystery reveal. In this article, we shall talk about those noticeable factions, as well as their core members.
S.H.I.E.L.D
S.H.I.E.L.D is an organize in Fortnite Battle Royale, came from Earth-616. They first appeared in Chapter 2 Season 4, along side with Helicarrier, Quinjets and S.H.I.E.L.D chests. This cinematic squad was led by Nick Furry, and fight along side to defend against Galactus. A noble member of this faction is Iron-man, who himself has his own Stark Industry faction. While S.H.I.E.L.D does not have a great impact on Fortnite lore, this is still a fun faction to notice, with the gathering of fan-favorite Marvel characters.
The Last Reality
The Last Reality is a Reality, an ancient inter-dimensional faction, and was first introduced in Season 5. It is behind the origin of the Cubes, with the aim of destroying every other reality in the Omniverse. Led by the Cube Queen, they use the Corruption Cubes to damage realities, create Cube Monsters and finally deploy their fleet to complete the goal. The Last Reality is composed of numerous species, with alien ecosystems, who use the unique tech to create vehicles and soldiers which can utilize the Cube’s power, creating a greatly mobile army invading hundreds of realities in a short period. Before the Cube Queen’s reign, The Cube King used to rule the Last Reality, but then he left and joined the Seven, as The Origin.
The Seven
The Seven is the group of individuals who have made the words to protect the Zero Point, a Nigh-Omnipotence lore entity, by any costs. They are the main protagonist faction of Fortnite: Battle Royale who started the storyline in Season 3. Their status is currently unknown as in Season 4 Chapter 3. They first appeared in the end of Season 3 in the Comet, and led by 7 leaders, namely The Foundation, The Visitor, The Scientist, The Paradigm, The Origin, The Imagined and The Order. Each of them has a deep history, but shares the same will of stopping the Imagined Order, liberating the Zero Point and destroying The Loop.
The Government
It has been discussed that whether The Government is a division of Imagined Order or not, but the role of this faction if to investigate the strange sightings on the island, namely The Meteor, which has appeared several times during Seasons. In Season 8, they scouted the Island using a helicopter, then set up sites and dug up different things across the map, eventually dug up Loot Lake to reveal the Vault, which is theorized to be an Imagined Order facility. Singularity, Hazard Agent and Toxic Trooper are noticeable members of this faction.
Imagined Order
The Imagined Order, the Order or IO to be short, is among the main factions of Fortnite: Battle Royale, first introduced in Season 2 Chapter 2. They are said to be an inter-dimensional organization that maintain the “order” of The Omniverse, by using The Zero Point. IO is the main antagonist faction of Fortnite: Battle Royale, which directly opposite The Seven. In Fortnite: Battle Royale, they have been in charge of the Loop for thousand of years, by using the Zero Point to manipulate realities. Geno is the founder and leader of IO, with the aim to form the perfect organizational system for the ideal civilization. The Order is believed to be behind any events during the first Season, and they truly have a huge impact on other factions.
